Matt is a chartered taxation surveyor and former HMRC inspector who has extensive experience and knowledge in all Capital Allowances and Land Remediation Relief matters, previously working for both large corporate firms and private niche practices, advising on multi-million pound developments and acquisitions/disposals to local investors or occupiers in all sectors of the commercial real estate market. Matt also holds a niche in agricultural matters, advising farmers and landowners on the reliefs available for various diversification processes and investments.

Matt heads up the North East and Scotland offering for Veritas for both established and new clients and has been successful in identifying millions of pounds of tax relief whether working for the client directly or through client representatives such as accountants, solicitors and other chartered surveyors.

Matt is an Assessor and Chair for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors for both commercial real estate and taxation pathways, and has delivered bespoke training packages to other firms who specialise in capital allowances and land remediation relief.

Outside of Capital Allowances Matt Likes to ski, enjoys the gym and country walks with the dog to fully unwind (featuring a local country pub of course).
